Jorge Jernandez is a Bay Area native. He grew up in South San Francisco, and now spends most of his time in the East Bay. He has been playing Saxophone for the past 16 years, and has picked up flute and clarinet along the way. He is currently working on his Bachelor's of Arts in Music with and emphasis on Jazz Performance at California State University, East Bay. While at CSUEB, he has had the opportunity to share the stage with contemporary jazz greats such as, Dayna Stephens, Jim McNeely, Matt Pavolka, Greg Osby, Dennis Mitcheltree, and Ralph Alessi. He has studied composition with Bay Area B3 Organist/Composer Delbert Bump and is currently studying saxophone with Bay Area sax legend Dann Zinn. |
